Mikey Snot Is Great
Rock and Roll all weekend.....

05/09/05, Mikey Snot

Ok, so I took some time off, did not watch any regular or cable TV, stayed home to work on my "This old Punk House", trying to purge myself from the insanity that is swirling in this cesspool of Bushinomics 1984+21 years....

BUT, last week was it for me, my once a quarter drunk rock fest that my wife begrudgingly lets me do every now and then, trust me on this one, she makes me pay. So I make sure I do it right..... I mean correct!

Friday night, woooooh-hooooo! All access guest list to the Metro compliments from Dan from switchblade records and Laslow Corpuscle, for a night of fine music from the band Tiger Army. They were already playing by the time we got there and since this was an all ages show, of which I hadn't been to one in eons, it was an easy path to the empty bar up in the balcony, pound a couple and off to the backstage area. I was real tired (re: lazy) and did not feel like moving my way through the crowd to get some shots but snapped a bunch from the stage, so I will be adding some of the best ones to the archive.

Saturday night was the big one, well rested, tickets compliments of my brother and sister in law for my 39th, plus a designated driver taking me too and fro, what more can a man want... besides that of course, wink, wink. So due to my dumbassness, and mix up with getting my extra ticket to Laslow, I missed Murphy's Law which opened, so no pics from that set. I was really was waiting for this show since it was a bill with three of my favorite bands, we were disappointed to find out that the Supersuckers will be playing as a power trio, sans Dan Bolton, who has just placed himself into the hands of health care officials. We here at MSIG wish him the best and as speedy and complication free rehab. Rock on Dan, we missed you. Although the guys rock it is obvious they need the dueling guitars of Dan and Ron Heathman. It was a sold out show, and I just shot the guys a few months back, I saved myself for the Rev.

The Revco guys did not disappoint. It looks like Jimbo's playing a new rig, and it sounds and looks great. A great solid set by one of my favorite performers in one of my favorite places to see bands. I will be posting them this week so check back soon, along with the Tiger Army shots. Take care....

And I didn't say one bad word about our puppet president...
